Sanicompact – Self-Contained Dual-Flush Macerating Toilet System
The Sanicompact is a space-saving, dual-flush toilet and macerator combination unit designed for installing a half-bathroom up to 9 feet below the sewer line or as far as 120 feet away from a soil stack. Ideal for residential settings, this compact system effectively handles human waste and toilet paper using a hardened stainless-steel blade that requires no servicing or replacement.
Modern, Compact Design for Limited Spaces
Built into a sleek vitreous china bowl, the Sanicompact integrates both the flushing mechanism and macerator pump into one seamless unit. This unit is purposefully engineered for:
Small-space installations where conventional plumbing won’t fit
Low water consumption with dual flush functionality
Accessibility-friendly design suitable for people with physical limitations
Tankless, Button-Activated Flush System
Unlike traditional toilets, the Sanicompact requires no gravity-fed tank. A push button on top of the bowl triggers an electronically timed flush cycle. This initiates a solenoid valve to rinse the bowl, followed by motor activation that macerates and pumps waste away. The cycle lasts approximately 10–15 seconds and includes automatic bowl refilling.
Water-Efficient Dual Flush
The system features a dual push button for selecting either 1.28 gpf (4.8 lpf) or 1.0 gpf (3.8 lpf), providing efficient waste removal with reduced water usage compared to traditional toilets.
Internal Engineering & Waste Processing
Inside the unit, a pressure switch and circuit board govern system operation, while a motor—sealed for life in an oil-filled enclosure—powers the blade and impeller. A single shaft connects both mechanisms, minimizing moving parts. The blade spins at 3600 RPM to macerate waste into slurry, which is then discharged up to 9 feet vertically or 120 feet horizontally (with gravity flow).
Flexible Installation and Gray Water Integration
The rear discharge elbow rotates 360 degrees for versatile setups and includes a built-in non-return valve to prevent backflow. Additionally, the Sanicompact can accept gray water from a sink via a 1 1/4" rear inlet. The pump engages automatically when sink water flows in.
Vent-Free Design & Electrical Recommendations
As a forced main system, the Sanicompact does not require connection to a traditional vent stack. However, additional fixtures must be vented according to local plumbing codes. For electrical safety, the unit should be connected to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit.
