Sanicubic 2 VX – Heavy-Duty Duplex Vortex Pump System
The Sanicubic 2 VX is a 1.5 HP high-capacity duplex Vortex pump system designed to remove wastewater from multiple bathrooms and fixtures across an entire building. Suitable for both residential and commercial applications—including rental units, offices, and warehouses—this system can pump effluent up to 36 feet vertically through a 2” pipe or 20 feet vertically via a 4” pipe.
Powerful Duplex Motor Design
This unit is equipped with two 1.5 HP motors enclosed in a rugged, compact plastic housing. Each motor drives a Vortex-style impeller that can handle solids up to 2 inches in diameter, including items like sanitary napkins, condoms, dental floss, q-tips, and other flushed materials.
The motors are sealed for life in oil-filled enclosures and use a shared shaft design to minimize moving parts. A pressure switch and circuit board assembly controls each motor’s operation, ensuring reliability and ease of maintenance.
Smart Pumping Operation
The Sanicubic 2 VX is engineered for alternating operation between the two motors, which balances wear and extends service life. If one pump fails, the other automatically runs continuously to ensure system functionality. For heavy flow conditions, both pumps can operate simultaneously—boosting total discharge capacity by up to 80%.
A visual LED alarm and audible signal on the external control panel are triggered during overload situations. A single pump can handle up to 125 GPM (2” discharge) or 137 GPM (4” discharge), while dual operation is initiated automatically when incoming flow exceeds those thresholds.
Flexible Inlets and Discharge Setup
The system features five inlet ports (1½” or 4”) located on both sides and across the top of the housing. Inlets can accommodate wastewater from multiple sanitary fixtures. The internal discharge outlet is equipped with a check valve to prevent backflow. Isolating valves (e.g., ball or gate valves) should be installed on both inlets and outlets for safe servicing.
The discharge connection on the top accepts 2" or 4" rigid piping. Installations using the bottom inlet require a minimum 12-inch elevation difference between the pump and fixture for proper gravity flow. Inlet piping must maintain a slope of ¼” per foot.
Ventilation and Safety
The Sanicubic 2 VX includes a 2½” vent port on top of the unit and must be connected to a two-way air vent as required by plumbing codes. Mechanical vents and air admittance valves are not permitted. For safety and system compliance, the pump should be connected to a properly grounded electrical system with alarm monitoring.
Submersible Protection and Controls
With an IP68 waterproof rating, the Sanicubic 2 VX is protected against submersion, preventing damage to internal electronics. The system is delivered with a remote control panel and includes both visual and audible alarms with a 15-foot connection cable for convenient installation and monitoring.
