Sanipit 24GR CB – Pre-Assembled 1-HP Grinding Pump System
The Sanipit 24GR CB is a pre-assembled 24” x 24” packaged pump unit featuring a 1-horsepower grinder. Engineered to handle wastewater evacuation from multiple bathrooms and fixtures within an entire building, this system can pump effluent up to 25 feet vertically and/or 328 feet horizontally. It incorporates a grinder mechanism, making it particularly effective in environments where waste input cannot be controlled—such as rental properties, commercial spaces, offices, or warehouses.
This unit is built to manage materials commonly flushed down toilets, including items like sanitary napkins, condoms, q-tips, and dental floss. Its powerful 1-HP motor is coupled with a high-efficiency grinding system and a rapidly rotating blade, effectively reducing solids from toilets, tubs, showers, sinks, dishwashers, and washing machines into a manageable slurry.
Efficient Operation and Discharge Performance
The system’s user-friendly design extends to its operation. Wastewater enters through a primary 4” side inlet. Once the internal water level reaches a specific activation point, the pump automatically engages and discharges the effluent via a 2” rigid pipe located on top of the basin. Maximum discharge performance reaches 25 feet of vertical lift or 328 feet horizontally.
Internally, the Sanipit 24GR CB features dual pressure switches and a circuit board that together control pump activation and shutoff. A shared motor shaft powers both the impeller and the stainless-steel cutting blade, helping to minimize moving parts and ensure long-term reliability. Waste material is macerated into slurry and expelled by the impeller mounted beneath the sealed motor unit.
To ensure consistent operation, the system employs a fail-safe triple-pressure switch system, replacing traditional float mechanisms known for frequent malfunctions. The motor itself is enclosed in an oil-filled, sealed housing for added durability.
Performance and Safety Features
Capable of pumping up to 66 gallons per minute (GPM), the unit triggers an alarm if the inflow exceeds the discharge capacity. This alert activates a visual indicator on the external control panel and, if connected, an audible alarm from a wired control box.
Installation guidelines specify that the influent pipe must maintain a ¼” per foot slope for proper gravity flow. The discharge outlet features an integrated check valve to prevent reverse flow. Additionally, isolation valves—such as ball or gate valves—should be installed on all inlets and the outlet to allow for safe maintenance and servicing.
The pump lid includes a 2” vent connection, which must tie into a standard two-way air vent as required by plumbing codes. Mechanical or one-way air admittance valves are not permitted.
Durability and Compliance
With an IP68 rating, the Sanipit 24GR CB is built to withstand submersion, protecting all internal components from water ingress. It comes equipped with an external control panel, and both visual and audible alarms are included with a 15-foot cable.
The unit meets rigorous standards for both the U.S. and Canadian markets:
U.S. Compliance: CSA Certified, ASME A112.3.4
Canadian Compliance: CSA B45.9 Macerating Standard
