Saniflo Condensate Pumps

Saniflo condensate pumps are designed to efficiently and quietly remove condensate water produced by HVAC equipment, high-efficiency boilers, tankless water heaters, dehumidifiers, and other appliances. They provide a compact, automatic solution when gravity drainage isn’t possible — especially in basements, attics, or tight utility spaces.

What Is a Condensate Pump?

Condensate is the byproduct of cooling or heating equipment, typically acidic in nature and produced in small but steady volumes. When gravity drainage isn’t available, a condensate pump collects and lifts this water to a drain line, plumbing stack, or exterior discharge point.

Saniflo condensate pumps such as the Sanicondens Best or Sanicondens Best Flat are equipped with features that protect plumbing systems, including built-in neutralizing cartridges for acidic water from boilers and alarms for overflow detection.

How a Saniflo Condensate Pump Works

When condensate water flows into the pump’s internal tank, a float switch automatically activates a small motor that pumps the liquid through a flexible tube to an appropriate drain. Once the tank is emptied, the pump shuts off automatically. These pumps are quiet, compact, and easy to conceal in mechanical closets or behind appliances.

Installation Requirements

Standard 110–120V grounded electrical outlet

Flexible or rigid tubing for discharge (usually ⅜” to ½” diameter)

A drain point — floor drain, sink trap, vent stack, or outdoor outlet

Optional venting and neutralization setups may be required depending on local codes and appliance type. Sanicondens Best includes a neutralizing cartridge for treating acidic condensate before discharge.

Tips for Optimal Performance

Maintenance

Inspect the float and tank periodically for debris or scale buildup.

Replace the neutralizing agent periodically.

Flush the pump with clean water during HVAC servicing to maintain optimal operation.

Noise Reduction

Place the unit on a vibration-dampening pad if installed on a hard surface.

Ensure secure, supported discharge tubing to prevent rattling during pump operation.

Discharge Guidelines

Limit vertical lift to the pump’s rated capacity (typically up to 15 feet).

Route discharge lines with gentle curves instead of sharp bends.

Secure the outlet firmly to prevent leaks or movement.
