Sanicubic 2 – Heavy-Duty Duplex Grinder Pump System for Multi-Fixture Wastewater Applications
The Sanicubic 2 is a powerful 1 HP duplex grinder system designed to evacuate wastewater from multiple bathrooms and fixtures throughout an entire building. Ideal for residential and commercial environments—including rental properties, office complexes, and warehouses—this unit can pump effluent up to 36 feet vertically and 328 feet horizontally.
Dual Grinder Motors and Performance
Inside the durable enclosure are two 1 HP motors, each equipped with a high-speed grinding mechanism. These stainless steel blades reduce solids from sources like toilets, sinks, tubs, dishwashers, and washing machines into fine slurry. Each pump operates alternately to ensure even wear over time. In the event one pump fails, the other will continue to run full-time until service is performed.
Each motor is sealed in an oil-filled, maintenance-free enclosure. A shared spindle powers the impeller and grinder blades, minimizing moving parts and maximizing operational life.
Smart Pumping Control and Alarm System
The Sanicubic 2 features advanced control logic. Under normal use, one pump can handle up to 50 GPM. If the inflow exceeds the discharge rate, the system triggers an “overload” mode, activating the second pump. This increases output by roughly 80% to prevent backup or overflow.
In overload mode, users are alerted through a visual LED alarm and audible warning system built into the external control panel. This allows for immediate response and system awareness.
Flexible Inlet and Discharge Configuration
The system accommodates wastewater from multiple fixture types via five 1½” or 4” inlet ports, located on either side and on top of the unit. The top-mounted discharge connection supports 1½” rigid piping.
All discharge lines include check valves to prevent backflow, and it is strongly recommended to install isolation valves (ball or gate) on both inlets and outlets for safe maintenance access.
Installation Guidelines
Effluent piping must maintain a ¼” per foot slope for proper flow
A minimum 10-inch elevation difference is required if using the bottom inlet
Unit includes a 1½” vent connection that must be tied to a two-way air vent—mechanical vents and AAVs are not allowed
Submersible Protection and Control
Rated IP68, the Sanicubic 2 is protected against submersion, safeguarding internal components from water damage. It comes with a wired external control panel (15' cable) featuring visual and audible alarms for real-time system monitoring.
